Dr. H. O. Blackwood has been practicing orthodontics for more than 50 years. His treatments involve both technical expertise and gentle, human compassion; it is his goal, with every patient, to work with them to create straightened teeth that will develop a warm smile, improving their self-esteem for the rest of their life. With that improved self-esteem comes more comfortable interactions in the patient’s personal and professional lives; in other words, Dr. Blackwood is truly able to transform the lives of his patients.
More than the reward of changing how people feel about their appearance, though, Dr. Blackwood loves the relationships that he is able to develop with each of his patients; these relationships, which in many cases become friendships, make each day in the office a joy. He loves hearing about new adventures, his patients’ hobbies and interests, what’s happening in their classes and with their families.
